Jocelyn Miller is an associate in the Richmond office of Pierce Jewett, PLLC, where she serves on both the firm’s corporate transactional team and the labor and employment team. Jocelyn advises businesses of all sizes on the full spectrum of workplace legal issues, helping clients navigate complex employment regulations and laws and implement best practices to minimize risk and foster positive work environments.
Her work includes drafting, reviewing, and updating employment-related documents ,such as employee handbooks, employment agreements, offer letters, restrictive covenants (including non-compete and non-solicitation agreements), confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, and separation or severance agreements, to highlight a few.
Jocelyn earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, distinguishing herself in business and intellectual property courses such as Advising the Entrepreneur, Trademark Law, and Corporations. Her passion for the intersection of law and business led her to actively participate in the Law and Business Forum and the Student Intellectual Property Association.
Prior to law school, Jocelyn gained valuable experience at an international law firm, working within the Consumer Financial Services group. There, she honed her skills in navigating complex regulatory compliance issues, assisting with government investigations and examinations, and supporting litigation matters related to consumer financial products and services.
Outside of work, Jocelyn resides in Richmond’s West End with her husband and their rescue Turkish Angora, Henry-Benjamin. She enjoys playing pickleball and golf, reading historical fiction, and traveling in her spare time.
