Tom serves with our labor and employment team in advising both employees and employers regarding their legal needs. In private practice and as a former prosecutor, he has litigated a wide range of issues and uses that expertise to solve business problems for our firm’s clients in and out of court. Tom has served clients in a variety of practice areas and forums, including grievance hearings, federal, state, and local administrative proceedings, and in court.
As a veteran Marine Corps Officer with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Virginia’s Darden School, Tom is also a trusted advisor to corporate clients on litigation matters.
Tom and his wife, Julia, are deeply involved in Richmond’s legal community. Julia is a Senior Public Defender for the City and Tom makes a significant pro bono commitment to organizations on issues of criminal justice reform.
In his personal life, Tom spends time with his friends and family exploring Richmond, especially its restaurants, theaters, and events. A day on the James River is Tom’s ideal getaway. Tom and Julia live in Church Hill and are parishioners at the City’s historic, St. John’s Episcopal Church.
