Overview

Megan Smith is an associate in the Norfolk office of Pierce Jewett, PLLC, where she serves on both the firm’s corporate transactional team and the labor and employment team. Megan advises clients on issues such as wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, wage and hour disputes, harassment claims, and compliance with state and federal employment regulations.

Her work includes drafting, reviewing, and updating contracts, demand letters, motions, and employment-related documents such as employment agreements, offer letters, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, and separation agreements.

Megan earned her J.D. from Regent University School of Law, where she served as an Executive Member of the Moot Court Board. During her time at Regent, she competed in multiple national moot court competitions, served as the Vice-Director of Regent Cup, and coached Regent’s Undergraduate Moot Court Team at AMCA’s Fearless Challenge Regional Tournament, where her team secured first place in the region. She likewise received an award for earning the top grade in Constitutional Law II.

Outside of the office, Megan resides in Virginia Beach with her Shetland Sheepdog, Bentley. She enjoys playing soccer, going to the beach, and traveling in her spare time.
